When I brainstormed for letter “C”, I realised I had so many options that I was spoilt for choices. I am thankful that in my life, I always was spoilt for choices. Whether it has been for clothes, food, homedecor I have never settled for something I did not want. Most of us do have that choice in life. Isn’t it amazing?
You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy coffee, chocolates, cheese and a good car.

And that’s pretty close.
I am thankful for my daily cup of coffee. My daily cuppa is a hand beaten coffee, intense, low on sugar and with hot milk.
I am grateful for the chocolates, and they do make me happy. Chocolates are comfort mood and known mood elevators and they do increase endorphins and serotonin levels in brain. Remember when Harry Potter is chased by dementors, Lupin offers him a chocolate! They are associated with happiness and celebrations and i cannot remember any good moment complete without one.
I love cheese and I am grateful that I get such a huge variety of cheese, and so many dishes made of cheese. If it was not the love for cheese, I could become thinner soon. Hey, but no regrets!
Next on my list are the cars. I did not learn driving until i was 30 and did not independently drive until 2 years later. When we moved to Dubai and driving car became a necessity, I did start taking it out reluctantly. Finally, after years, I fell in love with My Toyota Fortuner, which was my husband’s dream car. Once I had my hands on it, I became a confident driver. I still miss it here and don’t lose any chance to drive it whenever I go back. Cars reduce the time to travel and are a must in extreme weathers.
Another thing I am grateful for is the computers. Computers have been the greatest invention of 20th century. Computers have made education, health, banking and commerce more accessible. These days most of the things can be done sitting in the comfort of the homes, just with the click of the mouse. If the computers had not advanced, would we be writing these blog posts and participating in A2Z Blogathon!
What is a home without Children? Quiet !
Henry Youngman
The list from C cannot be complete without mention of my child. All other things in the lists above are mayerial and replaceable. The love of my child fills my soul. The love I have received from him is immeasurable and far more special. I am thankful to God for his presence in my life. Even though life is nothing less than a roller coaster especially with a teenager, my child makes my life better. He helps me strive to be a better person because I know children learn not by telling but by imitation, so I try harder to be a good role model. He keeps me on my toes with his demands for yummy food, but if he’s not around i would just end up having a bland soup. We love going on long walks and arguing our respective viewpoints. We never reach a conclusion but it’s good to know how he is growing up. We play lots of board games and he defeats me always and all I can think of is how years have gone by. He is taller than me now, but still the cutest moments are when he comes and hugs me like that little one from older days.
