It’s not the time of year without …..

It is October already. How time flies? Each year we wait for the new year, for new beginnings, to amend our mistakes and start anew.

And New year is the new beginning. We make resolutions, promise to be better versions of the humans we are and by the mid of the year we already forget what we promised.

It’s not the time of year without a little introspection on what went wrong.

By early this year, I had decided to draw a curtain and never write again. I was tired of social media and when you blog you do need social media support.

However, when I informed my husband about this, he in a few words, conveyed the message of the few readers I had.

” Your wife writes amazing, and when people come and tell me this I feel proud of you.”

This one sentence made me ponder and by March end I had joined the train to A2Z 2019.

My theme this year was Parenting, a topic too close to my heart.

I continued blogging till June and even shared a few of those blogs on Momspresso.

As the year went by, I again became tired of this one sided conversation.

I wanted to participate in My Friend Alexa but professional commitment kept me away.

Come October, and I saw this Blog hop #WordsMatter by Corinne Rodrigues @ The Frangipani creative

Rather than sulking, I decided to go ahead and join the Blog hop. I promise to be more regular and not wait for the new year to make the ammends.

This post was written in response to the blog hop hosted by Parul , Shaini and Corinne.
I received this tag from Meena Chatty at Balcony Sunrise. It’s my pleasure to pass on this tag to Rohan Kachalia at RohanKachalia. There are 38 of us on this Blog Hop and it will be spread over 3 days – 4, 5, 6 October 2019.

Do follow the #WordsMatter Blog Hop and prepare to be surprised!

  2. Blogging takes more patience than anything else. If you could do the A to Z challenge you do have it in you to stick it out. So keep writing, visiting other blogs and making happy connections.

  3. I think we all you through that once in a while. And it’s good too. We can take time to retrospect and figure out what kind of writing we want to do.

  4. The blog hop keeps me from going into hinernation too long, too. Not only have I received such lovely comments on my blog, which makes me want to continue writing, but I get to read fabulous posts too, some of bloggers I know, and some I meet for the first time on the blog hop.

  5. I am glad you decided to participate. I am also sailing on a similar boat. There was a time when I used to blog every day. But when social media took over most of the conversations, blogging took a back seat. But I think it is good to jot down our thoughts in a blog. We can come back and read it later on. Social media has the attention span or life span of a maximum of 24 hrs. So keep blogging.

  7. Good that you didn’t give up blogging. I always use my blog to express myself irrespective of bothering about the number of readers I get. These days social media has become a menace and blogging is not as fun as it used to be a few years back but still, we should not quit.
