Taj Aravali Resort and Spa

Nestled in the forests of Aravali, Taj Aravali Resort and Spa is one of the best resorts in India and also one of the most beautiful Taj properties.

The resort is spread over 27 acres, creating an expansive oasis surrounded on all sides by the rugged Aravali Ranges. It has 92 rooms varying from Deluxe rooms, luxury cottages, luxury glass cottages and premium suites. The rooms boast of eye soaking views of hills, gardens or the swimming pool.

The resort has a multitude of activities to indulge in, right from the options of heavenly spas, gym, play area for small children to activities to keep your growing kids engaged like air hockey, table tennis, futsal, foosball, carrom to name a few.

We checked in on a Sunday when most people check out. Inspite of a heavy rush of check outs, the team @Taj Aravali was very prompt to make us comfortable and relaxed for the time they took to make our room ready. Since there was heavy rush at reception, they promptly escorted us to restaurant so that we could relax there.

Our room was a Deluxe room with Hill view on the ground floor. The back side of room opened towards Hill and it had a outdoor seating as well. We could see Langoors leaping and peacocks every now and then.

The interior of the room was simple yet impressive. The room was spacious with a separate vanity section.

After we checked in, we dived in straight to swimming pool which had an attached pool bar. The pool was nicely maintained and had breath taking views of the waterfall.

Next, I soaked in the luxury of Jiva Spa, the signature spa of Taj Resorts. I was left impressed would be an understatement. The therapist was polite and a thorough professional. I had walked in with a stiff back and I came out pain free. I also soaked in the steam bath there.

In the evening, we enjoyed a puppet show and a Rajasthani folk dance.

For dinner, we tried Javatri, which is their specialty vegetarian restaurant. The restaurant had traditional royal Rajasthani decor. We tried Panner Sirka Payaz and Malai kofta along with Garlic Naan and Masala kulcha. The food was yummy.

The icing on the cake was a wake up at 12.00 midnight. It was our anniversary and my husband had wanted to make it special. I was clueless about it. At exact midnight a delicious fruit cake was delivered to make our event memorable.

Morning we woke up early to roam around the property. The nature trail left us speechless and the wonderful weather made it all the more enjoyable. Next we hit the gym. The best part of gym was open air yoga area. My son quenched his thirst of playing football.

We had Breakfast at Tiri, which was a multi cuisine restaurant. I had the best Chole bhaturey, while my husband enjoyed a yummy panner Parantha. My son who is more global dived into chocolate pancakes which were awesome. We had forgotten all about the kachoris which had been suggested last night by the restaurant manager. Since we had eaten to our hearts content, they packed the kachoris and we enjoyed them later at airport.

The best part of the stay was the hospitality. The staff was cordial, accommodating and ever smiling.

This was one of the best staycations in India in the recent times.
