Book Blurb:

The humming noise got louder. Adam willed himself to focus. He had to finish his math test.Suddenly, the noise became unbearable. He glanced up.Mrs Murphy was inches away, leaning over another kid’s desk. Was the noise coming from her?

***

Every child remembers a teacher who was a little bizarre, prickly or ill-tempered. Some teachers, though, are very odd indeed, and warrant some closer attention..This quirky chapter book will thrill kids who are adventurous, brave, and a little bit cheeky!

 My Review :

“One very Odd Teacher”, the title was catchy enough to give me a go ahead to read this one.  I finished it in less than an hour. I liked how the author showed the friendship of Adam and Jennifer. Jennifer who is always the studious one, and Adam who always lands up in trouble. Still they are like close friends and understand each other.

Something is strange about Mrs Murphy, the class teacher. However, no one agrees with Adam, not his parents and neither Jennifer. However, one incident during the school annual school fete makes Jennifer think on the same lines. Together the two friends expose the secret behind the strange behaviour of the teacher. The book teaches us about believing in our instincts and always standing with our friends.

The story is written in an easy language and the children will like to go on this adventure with Adam and Jennifer.  The ending was a twist for me and I am sure the young readers would be intrigued by the concept too. It is a fast paced fun story which I am sure the young readers will love.
