The order in Chaos!

Another of the lazy mornings, when I do not feel like going to work. That happens usually after the weekly off. I wonder,”Does it happen with everyone” or am I the only one who does not value her financial independence.

There are millions of feminists all over the globe, who are fighting for their right to work, and here I am the one who is ever ready to give away this, and become a housewife. I know, many will scorn at me, even my close friends, family will look at me with a disgusting face.

“So what will she do the whole day ?”

“Education wasted”

But isn’t it all about your decisions. Isn’t it about your choices.

Like Padmavati, could have chosen to fight or jauhar. I do not understand the fuss over it. Why not just view the story just as it? It was her choice to not to face the enemy with a sword, but to give him the ultimate blow by immolating herself.

The other day, I went to my son’s school, for a session in a career talk. There is this young lad, very talkative, bright eyes hidden by specs at this early age ( Grade 4). As soon as I introduce myself, this little boy asks me,”Ma’am.. my parents want me to be a doctor, but I want to be an engineer. So, what do you think I should do.”

I tell him,”Do what you want.” But even after so many days, I am still wondering, why can’t we just let our kids be what they want.” It’s time for them to see the world, grasp the essence of it all, and let them decide when time comes.

Just like parents trying to control the kids, as if they had the remote controls, husbands trying to control wives and vise versa, or mother in laws trying to control their daughter in laws, and so on.

Why not embrace individuality? Why can’t we just accept the other one just as they are, without trying to change them, respecting their differences, embracing them as a whole being?

It’s not difficult. It’s truly liberating. The nature is the perfect example. There is an order in every chaos. Everything is in perfect equilibrium, till the human mind starts interfering and trying to control.

Goodbye, till then.

  1. I agree with you, but do what you feel like.
